Follow these steps to start accepting payments from customers worldwide
Step 0: Get BOB Merchant Account & Sign Up
First, obtain a merchant account from Bank of Bhutan with IPG (Internet Payment Gateway) access. BOB will verify your business and provide you with IPG credentials. Once approved by BOB, create your GlobalPay.bt account and enter your IPG credentials to start accepting payments.
What You'll Need from BOB:
- • Valid business license (for BOB application)
- • BOB merchant account with IPG enabled
- • IPG credentials (Merchant ID, Terminal ID, API Key)
- • Gateway URL provided by BOB
Note: GlobalPay.bt can guide you through the BOB merchant application process, but approval is handled by Bank of Bhutan.
Step 1: Create Invoice or Payment Link
Once your account is approved, generate professional invoices with your branding or create shareable payment links for quick payments. Add customer details, line items, set payment terms, and choose your preferred currency (BTN, USD, or INR).

Step 2: Customer Receives Payment Request
Your customer receives a payment link via email, SMS, or directly from your website. The branded payment page displays all invoice details clearly with secure payment options. The page is mobile-optimized and supports multiple currencies.

Step 3: Secure Payment Processing
Customer enters card details on Bank of Bhutan's secure payment gateway. 3D Secure authentication ensures maximum protection against fraud. Card data never touches your servers - BOB handles all sensitive payment information.

Step 4: Real-time Confirmation & Notifications
